Privacy policy
What VEDAUM holds, what it refuses to do with it, and how to make it all disappear.

This document is written, and a few particulars about the company that publishes it are not yet stated. They are listed below rather than filled with sample text, because a placeholder that looks like a fact is worse than a visible gap.

What is collected
Your sign-in address; the birth moment you enter (date, time, place) and any you add for another person with their agreement; what you record in the ledger — practices, acts, vows, moods, journal entries; the questions you ask; and basic technical logs needed to keep the service running.
Why
To compute your chart and panchang, to show you your own record back, and to generate guidance. That is the whole list. Your data is not used to build a profile for anyone else's purposes.
Your chart
Computed on our server from your birth moment and cached so it need not be recomputed. It is used for guidance and for your own reading. ⛔ It never reaches the marketplace — the module that lists retreats and consultations cannot read your chart, your dasha or your readings at all, by construction, so nothing can be recommended to you from a graha and then charged for.
What you tell us about your body
Kept apart from everything else, and used only to adapt what is offered to you — a practice made gentler, a rhythm adjusted. It is never joined to any export, never shown to a partner, and never linked to a planet in anything VEDAUM writes. This is a structural separation, not a policy promise.
What you write
Your check-ins, reflections and vows are yours. They are never graded, never scored, and never shown to another person. Where VEDAUM counts anything from them, it counts your own acts and compares them with nobody.
The wall between guidance and commerce
The commerce module imports nothing from the chart, the dasha, the readings or the action ontology, and no guidance surface may link into it. A content check asserts both on every build. It is built unable to see your chart, which is a stronger guarantee than a paragraph.
Improving VEDAUM
Your writing is included in any training corpus only if you have turned that on. It is off unless chosen. Turning it off later stops future use.
What is never done
Your data is never sold. It is never analysed to advertise to you. It is not shared with a partner, an acharya, or another seeker. It is not used to rank you against anyone — there are no leaderboards here and there never will be.
Who else holds it
Supabase — the database and authentication, hosted in the ap-south-1 region, so the data stays in India. Vercel — hosting and delivery. Anthropic — the Claude API phrases guidance from structured data; it is the ontology that decides what is said. No advertising network, no analytics broker, and no data broker of any kind.
Cookies
Only what the service needs: a session so you stay signed in, and small preferences such as your theme and calendar choice. No advertising or tracking cookies are set.
How long
For as long as your account exists. A paused account keeps everything and sends nothing. A deleted account is gone.
Deleting everything
One act, in your account settings, and nothing is asked of you in return. It removes what VEDAUM holds about you — account, chart, ledger, journal — in a single transaction. There is no thirty-day grace period in which we quietly keep it.
Children
A minor's account holds less by design and is closed to matching, prediction, purchase and Kama content at the database level. A supervised session started by a parent cannot be left by the child, and cannot reach the parent's own birth details, settings or account controls.
Your rights
You may see what is held about you, correct it, export the parts that are yours, or delete all of it. Most of this is a button in your settings rather than a request you have to write; where it is not, write to us and we will do it.
If something goes wrong
If data is exposed, you will be told what happened, what was affected and what to do — plainly, and without waiting for a legal deadline to force it.
