The day is chosen by the moment the tradition reads its tithi at, and the times are that day's own, computed for this city. A festival-specific puja window is not printed: those rules differ by tradition and await a scholar's review.
The great night. Not a celebration — a vigil. The one festival whose entire practice is to stay awake, which is also its whole meaning.
Stay awake. Four watches, four offerings if you keep the full form; if not, then simply do not sleep, and use the hours. This is the year's deepest night of practice and it costs nothing.
