Rahu Kaal today. For your city.
Mangalvar · 6 October 2026
This is a default, not your place. Set it so the tithi and the muhurtas are your own.
Rahu Kaal
15:05–16:33An eighth of the daylight, fixed by weekday. The tradition avoids beginning things here — signing, launching, setting out, marrying. Say what it is not: it is not a dangerous hour, nothing bad happens in it, and work already underway simply continues. Never delay medicine, a flight, or an exam for it. If you must begin something now, begin it.
Yamaganda
09:12–10:41Another eighth of the day, and read the same way as Rahu Kaal — poor for beginnings, unremarkable for everything else. Continue what is running; start what is new elsewhere.
Gulika Kaal
12:09–13:37Also called Mandi, the son of Shani. Avoided for beginnings, and classically noted for anything meant to be permanent — which is the same instruction stated more precisely.
Abhijit Muhurta
11:45–12:32The steadiest window of the day for beginning something. Use it when something must start today.
What none of this means. No window here is dangerous, and nothing bad happens to anyone in Rahu Kaal. These are conventions about when to BEGIN things — they are not a reason to delay medicine, a flight, an exam, or anything already underway. VEDAUM will never tell you a time is unsafe.
